Newsletter 02 – Second “Guided Ride” of the Year in Ellesmere (Archives)

Greeting Fellow Riders,

Wow how time flies when you are having fun. It has been a while since we last sent out a newsletter so here goes.
Sunday saw the second “guided ride” of the year going through to Ellesmere for an awesome day’s riding. The weather was fantastic with a bit of rain the night before making traction excellent and dust non-existent.

We have made some additions to our famous “69” with two more river crossings and a great piece of single track down the Nontunja Stream as seen in the image on the left below. The picture on the right shows of the start of the single track.

This year’s route is between 68 and 78km depending on the speed of the group and the level of rider. We have incorporated multiple loops which are more intermediate ridden the one way and advanced when ridden the opposite way.

For the hard core riders we now ride up Rocky Road. This is definitely more of a very advanced loop.

Well that is all for now. With a fun ride next week and another 2 guided rides in July, we certainly going to be busy, so until then…
Have a great riding week.
